About coding forms

In projects created in Epiq Discovery 3.8 or higher, use the coding forms to tag the documents in review. Review Managers or higher roles can add, edit, or delete the Coding Forms and also associate a Coding Form with new assignments for review. You can add fields to a Coding Form and make the fields read only or mandatory. Also, you can allow reviewers to add values to single or multiple choice fields when reviewing the documents.

When you create a project, the system provides a Default Coding Form. As needed, you can tag documents with the fields and values in the Default Coding Form, just as you can with coding forms you create. Review Managers or higher roles can edit or delete the Default Coding Form as needed.

When reviewing documents, Reviewers and Senior Reviewers can tag a document by coding the fields in the Coding Form that is associated with their batch. Using Search Builder, you use these fields and field values in searches to refine the set of documents to use for a particular action, such as a Document Action or Production.
